Florida College controlled the match from start to finish, holding Ave Maria to a .020 hitting percentage while posting a .240 team percentage of their own. Senior outside hitter Fiona Sampaio led the offense with 16 kills, supported by Cassidy Lee and Raquel Teixeira, who each added 10. Setter Taina de Lima Nunes recorded 35 assists, while the Falcons totaled 47 digs and eight blocks, keeping the Gyrenes off balance throughout.
The victory marks a strong start for Florida College as they aim to build momentum early in the season. The Falcons will look to continue their success in their upcoming home and road matches.
