Falcons Unable to Extinguish the Fire

TEMPLE TERRACE, Fla. - The Lady Falcons were defeated in four sets by Southeastern University 22-25, 25-17, 25-21, and 25-19 on Thursday.
Southeastern posted 57 total kills in the match compared to the Falcons' 41. Freshman Raquel Teixeira contributed 14 kills for Florida College followed closely by Adriana Bravo with 11. The Fire had three players reach double digits, with Grace Petty also contributing 14.
Falcon Madison Lee led the match in assists for both teams and put up 35 of the 40 assists on Florida College's side. Alexandra Postlethwaite and Ava Connors each added more than twenty assists out of the Fire's 54.
Addeson Coffey and Bravo both chipped in double digit numbers in digs, but without support from the rest of the team, the Falcons were no match for the Fire.
Southeastern outnumbered Florida College in every area of the stat sheet outside of attack errors and blocks and were able to pull out the win over the Falcons on their home court.
This loss pushes the Lady Falcon's record to 3-6 on the season.
