TEMPLE TERRACE, Fla. — Florida College put together a gritty effort on Tuesday night but couldn't overcome a slow shooting night, falling 80–70 to Webber International at home.
The Falcons (3–8) were led by Malik Beauford, who poured in 18 points and kept Florida College within striking distance throughout the evening. Beauford attacked the rim relentlessly, going 5-for-6 at the free-throw line and creating much of the team's offensive momentum.
Aiden Wall added 14 points and showed strong composure in the backcourt, while Gordon Magok delivered one of the most complete performances of the night with 12 points, 10 rebounds, and steady interior presence on both ends. Sam Massaquoi chipped in 12 points of his own, contributing six rebounds and a team-high four steals that sparked several transition opportunities.
Despite the strong individual efforts, Florida College struggled to find rhythm from the perimeter, shooting 5-for-31 from three. The Falcons made up ground with toughness on the glass, winning the offensive rebounding battle 13–10 and scoring 19 points at the free-throw line, but Webber's efficiency from the field ultimately created too much separation.
Florida College matched the Warriors 35–35 in the second half and showed improved ball movement and defensive pressure, but the early deficit proved difficult to erase.
The Falcons now prepare for their road matchup happening this Friday against Ave Maria University.
