LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. — The Falcons capped off a busy weekend with a split, falling to Georgia Gwinnett College on Friday night before responding with a victory over Morris College on Saturday.
Friday, February 6 — at Georgia Gwinnett
Florida College opened the weekend with a competitive road matchup on Friday night, falling 84–76 at Georgia Gwinnett.
The Falcons (6–18, 1–3) trailed by just three points at halftime, 37–34, after a balanced first half that featured steady offensive execution and disciplined defense. Florida College remained within striking distance throughout the second half, continuing to apply pressure in a challenging road environment.
Aiden Wall led the Falcons with 23 points, shooting 9-of-18 from the field and connecting on five three-pointers. Malik Beauford followed with 16 points, nine rebounds, and four assists, while Chris Fetuga provided a spark off the bench with 15 points on efficient shooting.
Despite the loss, Florida College showed composure and fight throughout the contest, carrying momentum into the following night.
Saturday, February 7 — vs. Morris
Florida College responded on Saturday with a strong second-half performance, defeating Morris 70–62 to close the weekend on a high note.
After trailing 30–20 at halftime, the Falcons erupted for 50 second-half points, flipping the momentum with aggressive defense and improved shot selection. Florida College outscored Morris by 18 after the break, controlling the pace and closing the game with confidence.
Malik Beauford led all scorers with 23 points, shooting 8-of-15 from the field while adding seven rebounds. Sam Massaquoi contributed 15 points, going 9-of-12 from the free-throw line, while Kenny White Jr. and Chris Fetuga added seven points apiece.
Florida College dominated the glass with a 44–43 rebounding edge and capitalized at the free-throw line, converting 21 of 29 attempts to seal the victory.
With the win, the Falcons improved to 7–18 overall and 2–3 in conference play, closing the weekend with momentum as the season continues.
