TEMPLE TERRACE, Fla. - The #21 ranked Florida College Falcons defeated Trinity College of Florida 92-50 tonight in Conn Gymnasium.
The Falcons put together their third straight strong first half, leading 50-18 at intermission, holding the Tigers to 26.7% shooting. The second half was more of the same as the Falcons held on to another blowout victory.
FC was led in scoring by Matt Simpson with 21 points and 7 rebounds. Phat Cleveland tallied 12 points, 6 rebounds, and 5 assists. Drew Kramer scored 12 points off the bench to round out the double-figure scorers. Calvin Finch Jr. suffered an injury during the first half and did not return.
"We're happy to be unbeaten, but we're ready to get back on the practice floor and in the film room and improve on our performance tonight, going forward," stated head coach Chase Teichmann. "Thank you to our great fans who showed up and were loud as always. We are so appreciative of the support we receive at each and every home game."
The win moves the 21st-ranked Falcons to 3-0 (1-0 CAC) on the season. Next, the Falcons host Florida National University on Friday night in Conn Gymnasium.
