The Falcons controlled the opening set from the start, hitting .346 as a team while holding the Lions to just four kills. Florida College kept the pressure on in the second set, adding 13 more kills before closing out the match with their strongest frame of the night, hitting .556 with only one error.
Four Falcons reached nine or more kills in the balanced attack. Raquel Teixeira led with 11 kills, 10 digs, and 13 points. Cassidy Lee and Jazmyne Slay each tallied nine kills, while Fiona Sampaio matched them with nine kills and an ace. Setter Taina de Lima Nunes directed the offense with 32 assists and added a service ace of her own.
Florida College finished the match hitting an impressive .370 as a team, with 42 kills and just 12 errors. The Falcons also controlled the net with 10 team blocks, anchored by Lee and Slay.
The Falcons will continue their homestand this Friday when they host Florida National University.
