Keiser Upsets #14 Falcons

The loss snaps a 25-game home winning streak dating back to last season. It also snaps a 9-game winning streak over the Sun Conference dating back to last season.
The Seahawks hit their first 5 shots of the contest, with four of them being three-pointers, to take an early 14-6 lead. This trend would continue throughout the game. The first half was filled with runs, with FC taking a one-point lead with 2:37 remaining in the first half. KU would use an 8-0 run to take a 52-45 lead into intermission. KU shot 12-of-23 from three in the first half.
The Seahawks came into the contest averaging 6.6 made threes per game at 31.7% as a team.
The second half saw FC use a 9-2 run to tie the game at 54. Keiser then went on an 18-2 run to take their largest lead of the game of 16 points. FC would chip away at the lead, but timely buckets kept the home team at bay, as the Falcons never got closer than four points down the stretch.
Keiser finished up 19-of-36 from three for the game, with six Seahawks hitting multiple triples. The 19-made threes is a Keiser program record against an NAIA opponent.
The Falcons shot the ball well themselves, hitting 16 threes at 44%, but could not get near enough stops to earn the victory.
The loss drops the Falcons to 23-4 on the year. Keiser improves to 15-11.
The Falcons have their regular season finale on Friday, February 17 at 7 PM against North American University. It will be senior night for Ethan Smith, Matt Simpson, Ray Cao, and Bryan Chong.
