Falcons Secure Victory Over Florida Memorial
Miami Gardens, Fla. – Florida College wrapped up its road trip with a strong showing Friday night, defeating Florida Memorial 3–1 (26–24, 22–25, 25–17, 25–19). The win brought the Falcons to 15–16 on the season as they bounced back from an earlier loss that day.

Fiona Sampaio led the offensive charge with 13 kills, four service aces, and 11 digs, putting together one of her most balanced performances of the season. Cassidy Lee added 11 kills and a team-high 17 digs while also contributing two aces and four total blocks at the net.
Setter Taina de Lima Nunes was once again the centerpiece of the Falcons’ attack, dishing out 35 assists and collecting seven digs. Destiny Calderon added four kills and three block assists, while Margarida Almeida chipped in with four kills and solid play at the net.
The Falcons tallied nine service aces as a team, with Malinowska, Sampaio, and Lee each finding success from the line. Defensively, Florida College combined for 14 block assists and held Florida Memorial to just a .163 hitting percentage.
After a competitive start, the Falcons found their rhythm in the third and fourth sets to secure the match. The victory gives Florida College momentum heading into the final stretch of the season as they look to climb back to a .500 record.
