TEMPLE TERRACE, Fla. – The Florida College women's soccer team fell to the Warner University Royals 3-0 last weekend.
The Lady Falcons were looking to snap the unbeaten streak of the Royals in the second meeting of the season, narrowly tasting defeat in their first meeting 2-1. The start of this game was slow and calculated as neither team took a shot till the 22nd minute. This slow and controlled pace continued throughout the first half with only five shots being registered by both teams in the first 45 minutes.
The stalemate was held until the 52nd minute when Warner's Clarissa Chew opened the scoring on an assist from Jillian Johnson. After going up a goal, Warner turned up the heat and senior Jillian Johnson rewarded the Royals by scoring a brace. Tallying in the 74th and 88th minute to go up 3-0 and close out the game with their third victory of the year.
