Lady Falcons Dismantle Judson
MARION, Ala. - The Florida College Lady Falcons defeated Judson College 6-0 on Thursday night.
In their first game on the road this season, the lady Falcons came out strong with a quick goal by freshman, Michaela Nicholson, assisted by Kat Llanos. The Falcons kept up the pressure throughout the first half with goals by Hannah Garcia and Jennifer Luna, both on assists from Michaela Nicholson, and another goal for Nicholson, assisted by Sasha Garcia.
The second half saw solid play by every player with goals for Kiara Romero (assisted by Jennifer Luna) and J. Luna closing out the match with the final score of 6-0.
Senior Captain, Cassidy Coffman, says, "We were excited for our first game so we came out focused and determined and earned the win. We have high hopes for our season and are ready to show the NAIA what it means to be a falcon."
"It was a great night with quality play from everyone," comments Coach Joanie Dilbeck. "It's great for the team to see the result of their hard work and training over the summer and preseason on the field."
The Lady Falcons now head to Columbus, Mississippi to play Mississippi University for Women at 2 p.m. EST today.
