Dial Earns #6 Spot in Florida College Top 10 at University of Tampa
TAMPA, Fla. - The Florida College track and field team recently competed at the University of Tampa in February, with multiple athletes moving into the Florida College Top 10 in their events despite the cold and rainy running conditions.
TAMPA, Fla. - The Florida College track and field team recently competed at the University of Tampa in February, with multiple athletes moving into the Florida College Top 10 in their events despite the cold and rainy running conditions.
Freshman Easton Dial earned the #6 spot in the 800m dash with a time of 2:08.08. Elishua DeGeneffe also secured a spot in the Top 10 with a 24.67 200m, placing him at #7 in his event, and Gustav Looper took the #10 spot in the 3000m with a time of 10:46.31.
The men competed in the 4x100 relay for the first time in Florida College history and finished the race in 48.48.
"It was difficult conditions, with it being cold and rainy, and having standing water on the track. All things considered, I was very pleased with how we performed, and look forward to great improvement as we get better weather," said head coach Trenton Roth.
