ORLANDO, Fla. - The men's and women's track and field team traveled to Orlando this past weekend to compete at the University of Central Florida.
Sophomores Samuel Sneed and Nathan Hesseltine came home with two new program records. Sneed lowered his own 200m dash record from 24.17 to 23.97 and Hesseltine raised his hammer throw record by 12 feet to 115'5".
Many others moved up on the all-time Top 10 lists in their events, most notably Joel Hardin and Luke Stegall in the 3000m steeplechase, who are now listed at #2 and #4.
"We had a couple athletes try some new events, and I was very pleased with how Samuel Sneed ran in the 800 and Luke Stegall did in the Steeplechase. Lillia Dillman also ran the 3000m for the first time and performed well," said head coach Trenton Roth.
The Falcons will be traveling down the road to the University of South Florida on April 7th and 8th to compete in the USF Invitational.
