AVE MARIA, Fla. — Florida College men's soccer secured a strong start to the 2025 season with a 3–0 road victory over Ave Maria on Tuesday afternoon at Gyrene Field.
The Falcons (2-0) struck early in the first half, with Yorgen Torres breaking through in the 24th minute. Just four minutes later, Jokubas Samsonas doubled the lead, giving Florida College a comfortable 2–0 advantage at the break.
In the second half, freshman defender Damauri Greer sealed the win with his first goal of the season in the 58th minute assisted by captain Devon Berry.
The Falcons' defense held firm throughout the match, with goalkeeper Filip Borka recording four saves to secure the clean sheet. Florida College outshot Ave Maria 16–7 and forced two Gyrene goalkeepers to combine for five saves.
Florida College will look to extend its unbeaten run this weekend as the Falcons return home for their next matchup.
