Temple Terrace, Fla.—The Florida College Falcons continued their season Saturday, falling 4-0 to Florida Memorial University.
Florida Memorial scored three times in the first half and added a fourth in the second. Despite the early deficit, the Falcons showed resilience, improving their defensive shape and creating a few chances of their own as the match progressed.
Florida College earned six corner kicks and totaled five shots, including three on goal. Motiejus Samsonas, Robbie Lloyd-Jones, and Benjamin Brake each registered a shot on target—Brake's coming during a set piece where he moved forward from his defensive position.
In goal, Ahiezer Santiago made three saves across the match. The Falcons' back line, including Damauri Greer and Brake, worked to contain FMU's attack and limit additional scoring opportunities in the second half.
The Falcons now turn their attention to the next challenge in non-conference play this Thursday against Dalton State.
