TEMPLE TERRACE, Fla. — The Florida College men's soccer team put together a strong defensive effort on Saturday but came up just short in a 1-0 loss to Keiser University.
The Falcons held the nation's top-ranked team to a single goal, which came late in the first half. Goalkeeper Santiago Nebot anchored the defense with an impressive 13 saves, keeping Florida College within striking distance throughout the match.
Offensively, the Falcons gained momentum in the second half, producing five shots and earning multiple corner kicks as they pushed for the equalizer. Despite the pressure, the Falcons couldn't break through before the final whistle.
Florida College moves to 5-6-1 on the season and will look to carry the energy from Saturday's performance into their next match.
