TEMPLE TERRACE, Fla. - The Webber International University Warriors defeated Florida College on Qualls Field, 2-1.
The first half of the match was full of action with no results. Both teams were unable to put a point on the board. Each team took three shots, with two corner kicks from the Falcons and four from the Warriors. Webber collected nine total fouls compared to Florida College's four.
The second half of the match produced results that could have gone either way, but the Warriors came out on top. Yao Bleoussi scored Florida College's lone goal of the night in the 57th minute that created a glimmer of hope for the Falcons. Unfortunately, Webber's Jesus Solarbe scored back-to-back goals just minutes apart to add another win to their schedule.
Goalkeeper Filip Borka posted seven saves on nine shots while Webber's Ben Parkinson added three saves on four shots.
