Brenin Wert Signs with Florida College Men’s Soccer
TEMPLE TERRACE, Fla. - Head men’s soccer coach David Ashwood has signed junior transfer Brenin Wert from Walsh University.
TEMPLE TERRACE, Fla. - Head men's soccer coach David Ashwood has signed junior transfer Brenin Wert from Walsh University.
Wert is a 6'2 defender from Cardiff, Wales. He previously played for the Aberdare Town FC and competed in the fourth tier of Welsh soccer while appearing in the starting lineup twice.
Academically, Wert made the Dean's List three times in a row and flaunted a 3.82 cumulative grade point average while at Walsh. He plans on being a Kinesiology major in the fall with hopes of becoming a physical therapist.
"Thank you FC for this new opportunity. I'm excited to get started and I'm looking forward to a successful season with the boys," said Wert.
"I'm excited to have Brenin with us in the fall. He brings experience, quality, and physical presence to our squad. I look forward to working with him and for him to be an asset to our program," said Ashwood.
