Falcons Receive All-Conference Honors
TEMPLE TERRACE, Fla. - Markus Sundin and Leo Hackett were recognized by the Continental Athletic Conference in the end of the year awards announced on Tuesday morning.
TEMPLE TERRACE, Fla. - Markus Sundin and Leo Hackett were recognized by the Continental Athletic Conference in the end of the year awards announced on Tuesday morning.
Sundin received Second Team All-Conference honors after playing 1,212 minutes this season and securing a .635 save percentage after allowing 42 goals and making 73 saves. He finished the season ranked 2nd in the CAC in saves and 6th in save percentage.
Hackett was named an All-Conference Honorable Mention after scoring two goals and adding four assists, contributing a total of eight points this season. He also earned the 10th spot in the CAC in assists.
"I am glad to see Markus receive recognition this season for what he has contributed to the program in his years here," said head coach David Ashwood. "For Leo to be named honorable mention for what he contributed this season shows the potential he has as a player and should be seen as a stepping stone for what he can accomplish with this program."
