Men’s Soccer Lands Solis

TEMPLE TERRACE, Fla. - Incoming freshman John Solis has signed with the Falcons for the 2023-2024 season.
Solis, a 6'0 midfielder, comes to Temple Terrace from Humacao, Puerto Rico. He previously attended the Escuela Virtual de Puerto Rico and has played club soccer for the MK Elite in Gurabo, P.R., and the West Florida Flames. He won the 2019 Puerto Rico Games with the MK Elite and the ESPN Disney Boys Soccer Tournament with the Flames.
He has been invited to participate in a number of different competitions including the Proyecto JDB program in Galicia, Spain, where he received Puerto Rico Senate recognition for his efforts, and has trained with the Xuventude Oroso team in Santiago de Compostela.
Solis also competed with the La Salle team in the Galicia regional competition and was a starter in all games attended in the 2021-2022 season.
Aside from the Puerto Rico Games, Solis also played in the 2019 Power League Caribbean Soccer Championship, 2020 IMG Tournament, and 2020 WSF Miami Cup.
Solis is not only talented athletically, but academically as well. He flaunts a 4.0 GPA throughout his entire academic career and has consistently been named an Honor Student. He was named the 2019 B You Academy Student-Athlete of the Year for his accomplishments.
In the fall, Solis will major in Business Administration with hopes of attending law school in the future.
"I am excited to become a Falcon next semester and am looking forward to adding value to the team and getting to know and work with my teammates," said Solis.
