Teichmann Departs For Georgia Gwinnett
TEMPLE TERRACE, Fla. – Head Basketball Coach and Athletic Director, Chase Teichmann, will depart Florida College for a state school, Georgia Gwinnett College, this coming season.

TEMPLE TERRACE, Fla. – Head Basketball Coach and Athletic Director, Chase Teichmann, will depart Florida College for a state school, Georgia Gwinnett College, this coming season.
He led the Florida College basketball program to a 100-27 record during his tenure, including three NAIA National Tournament second round appearances and two conference championships. He coached three NAIA All-Americans and was named Conference Coach of the Year in both 2022 and 2024. FC had a record of 86-15 during the last three years and is one of five NAIA programs with 27 or more wins in the last three seasons.
Teichmann joined the Falcons as the assistant coach in 2017. He was promoted to Associate Head Coach in the 2019-20 season where the Falcons finished with a 13-17 record, ranking 2nd in the NAIA in assists per game (20.9) and 1st in the Southern States Athletic Conference in three-pointers made per game (10.6).
Teichmann was named Head Coach in 2020 and led the program to a 14-12 record. In his second season at the helm, Florida College finished the year 31-4, setting the school record for wins in a season and season winning percentage (.886). They went 12-0 in conference play and celebrated their first CAC title, the first conference championship win that Florida College had seen in thirty years. The Falcons went undefeated at home, flaunting a perfect 14-0 record in Conn Gymnasium. This was the first year that Florida College qualified for a spot at the NAIA National Tournament, and the Falcons defeated Evangel University in the first round, marking the first win in a NAIA National Tournament game in Florida College history.
During the 2022-23 season the Falcons went 27-6, reaching the Round of 32 of the NAIA National Tournament for the second consecutive year. The Falcons earned the first NAIA Top 25 Coaches' Poll ranking in school history, making their debut at #21. They remained in the Top 25 all year long and were ranked as high as #10 overall. Florida College's players were awarded numerous accolades for their tremendous accomplishments. Matt Simpson was named First Team NAIA All-American, CAC Player of the Year and First Team All-Conference for the second year in a row.
Teichmann closed out his final season as a Falcon with a 28-5 overall record while remaining undefeated in conference. The Falcons continued their streak in the Top 25, being ranked as high as #18 in the nation. Florida College traveled to Williamsburg, Ky. and defeated Marian University in the first round of the NAIA National Tournament, securing Teichmann's 100th career win.
Teichmann will be relocating to Lawrenceville, Georgia, where he will serve as the first head basketball coach at Georgia Gwinnett College.

"Lastly, we couldn't have accomplished anything without our incredible players. I'm so proud of who they are as men and how they've represented us. I cherish the relationships I made here, both with our players and with the FC staff, more than I can express."

Coming into the upcoming 2024-25 season, Jesse Repay will lead the men's basketball team at Florida College as the interim head coach of Florida College, assisted by Robert Rayle, Matt Simpson, Austin Parimore, Scott Slone and Wilson Wickerham.
