Falcons Take Down Northern New Mexico, Advance to Conference Championship
LAWRENCE, Kan. - The Florida College Falcons continued their 15-game winning streak in a complete domination of the Northern New Mexico College Eagles on Saturday afternoon, 80-47 to advance to the Continental Athletic Conference Championship and punch their ticket to the NAIA National Tournament for the third consecutive season.

The Falcons started out the game with a 9-0 run, preventing the Eagles from scoring their first points until the 15:42 mark. The Eagles answered back with a 13-5 run to take the lead for the first and only time with a layup from Nigel Quaynor, while the Falcons went scoreless for nearly seven minutes. Senior Cameron Selders tied up the game with a free throw to begin the trek towards the win.
Florida College finished the first half with a 10-point lead after outscoring the Eagles 20-8 down the stretch of the first half. The Falcons went on to lead the Eagles by as much as 37 and held Northern New Mexico to 30% shooting from the field and forced 11 turnovers the second half. The Falcons shot a blistering 11-of-15 from three in the second half.
Tyshon Judge led the Falcons with 18 points while going 4-4 from the free throw line, followed by Justin Kruszewski with 13 and Drew Kramer with 10. Bryan Bayonne also pitched in nine points from three-straight three pointers to help push the Falcons towards the win in the second half.
"Another tremendous defensive effort today by our guys. We're also really proud of the 20 assists on 27 made baskets. We're going to need to keep it up and then some if we want to be champions tomorrow," said head coach Chase Teichmann.
