Falcons Dominate Arkansas Baptist in First Round of Conference Tournament

LAWRENCE, Kan. – The Florida College Falcons beat Arkansas Baptist College 85-54 on Thursday, to advance to the semifinals of the Continental Athletic Conference tournament.
The Falcons opened up the game in remarkable fashion, leading 21-2 with 9:57 remaining in the half. They'd use a 16-5 run from there to take a 37-7 lead with 4:41 remaining. At the half, FC would hold on to a 28-point advantage.
The second half was more balanced, but Arkansas Baptist was never able to cut it below 25. FC cruised to their 14th straight victory.
The Falcons had 4 players in double figures, with another 3 players scoring 8. Cam Selders led the way with 13 points. Jashavius Perdue, Drew Kramer, and Deonte' Martinez each contributed 10 points.
"Really proud of the focus and intentionality of our defense today," said head coach Chase Teichmann. "Holding someone to 14% shooting from the field in a half is impressive, I don't care who you are. We will need to keep it up if we plan on achieving our goals as a team moving forward."
