Jashavius Perdue poured in 14 points, 9 rebounds, and 3 blocks on a perfect 4-of-4 shooting night. He played terrific individual defense, holding his assignment, Ray Daniel Parrish to 4-of-15 shooting. Tyshon Judge added 12 points and helped hold FNU's Jovan DeBrito to a 5-of-20 shooting night.
"Not only am I pleased with the overall energy and effort we played with, but I thought our guys showed their tremendous character tonight," said Head Coach Chase Teichmann. "We accomplished what we came down here to do. This is not an easy place to play. We set the tone right away. We knew they'd make their run, but our guys handled it relatively well and did the things they were asked to and came out on top."
All twelve (healthy) Falcon players played in the game and scored. Freshman Justin Kruszewski had his best game as a Falcon in his young career, scoring 9-points on 3-for-3 shooting from behind the arc, all in the first half.
The Falcons shot over 50% from the field and 87% from the foul line. They held Florida National to 33% shooting and forced 16 turnovers.
The win moves the Falcons to 17-4 overall and 5-0 in the Continental Athletic Conference. The winning streak currently sits at six games. Up next, they'll travel to Nashville, Tenn., to take on the Welch College Flames on Friday, January 26. Be sure to follow @FC_Athletics_ and @FC_Hoops on X for all up to date content!
