Falcons Defeat Carver College
MOUNT VERNON, Ga. - The Florida College Falcons beat Carver College 94-79 on Tuesday night on a neutral court at Brewton-Parker College.
The game was a makeup game, scheduled mid-season after Middle Georgia State canceled their trip to Tampa due to COVID.
Matt Simpson led the way with 23 points. Jashavius Perdue and Drew Kramer each poured in 13 off the bench. Chinedu Okonkwo added 11 points of his own.
The Falcons led by 30, 79-49 with 6:44 left in the game. From that point on FC gave up 30 points to Carver in just over 6 minutes, while only scoring 15 of their own, leading to the fifteen-point win.
"Really disappointing way to end that game," said Teichmann. "I thought we played really well coming out, especially after five and a half hours in a van, but to finish the way we did, getting careless with the ball and not being able to get a stop, it's extremely frustrating. We got the win we came for though and we're ready to be back home in front of our fans for these final two games."
The RV Falcons move to 25-3 on the season, building on their record-breaking win total. Up next the Falcons will host CAC foe, Florida National University, on February 17 at 7 PM.
