TEMPLE TERRACE, Fla. - The Florida College Falcons got back in the win column on Friday night, defeating Haskell Indian Nations University, 123-73.
After 3 weeks off, FC didn't show much rust, shooting an astounding 61% from the field. They dished out 33 assists compared to just 9 turnovers. They never trailed in the game.
Matt Simpson led the Falcons in scoring, putting up 34 points, 6 rebounds, and 7 assists. Anthony Bittar earned the first double-double of his young career, with 11 points and 11 assists. Bryan Chong banged in 19 points. Drew Kramer and DJ Doakes each scored 13 to round out the double-figure scorers.
"It was good to get back on the floor, and great to be back home," said Head Coach Chase Teichmann. "It was fun to see guys sharing the ball and enjoying each other's success."
The (RV) Falcons move to 15-2 on the season, including now 2-0 in Continental Athletic Conference (CAC) play.
