FC was turning the ball over repeatedly. The Falcons responded by closing the game out strong, resulting in the fifteen-point win.
Matt Simpson led the way with 28 points on 9-of-15 shooting. Chinedu Okonkwo added 12 points and 11 rebounds. Phat Cleveland recorded 11 points and 5 assists. Anthony Bittar recorded the first start of his career. He chipped in 9 points, 4 assists, and 4 steals.
"This was a couple of long trips to Tennessee these past 4 games," said Coach Teichmann. "We're pleased to go 2-0 this weekend. We have got to learn to start fast. We can't keep digging holes for ourselves. We overcame a 25-point deficit Thursday and a 14-point deficit Friday. I'm proud of our team for staying together and accomplishing that. However, that is not sustainable going forward. We have to rebound the ball better and take care of it."
The Falcons move to 8-1 on the season. They'll take on 6-1 Ave Maria University on Tuesday night in Conn Gymnasium.
