Prior to FC: Last season at Wayland Baptist, was second on the team in scoring at 12.3 points per game... Was fifth in the Sooner Athletic Conference in rebounding at 7.8 per game... Led the conference in field goal accuracy at 65 percent... Earned Third Team All-Conference honors. Received year back due to COVID-19.
Prior to Wayland Baptist, Okonkwo played at the University of West Florida (NCAA Division II)... Averaged 4 points and 4 rebounds for the Argonauts in the 2019-2020 season after medically redshirting the 2018-19 season for UWF.
Transferred to West Florida after two successful seasons at McCook Community College in Nebraska... As a sophomore at McCook, posted 12 points per game and was second in Region IX with 8.1 rebounds per game... Led the league with 3.7 offensive boards per contest... Named to both the NJCAA All-Region Team and the Nebraska Community College All-Conference Team... Selected as the McCook Male Student of the Year and spoke at the MCC Commencement ceremony
