Falcons Stifled by Loyola
TEMPLE TERRACE, Fla. - The Florida College Falcons' four-game winning streak came to an end on Monday afternoon, losing to the Loyola Wolfpack 63-83.
The Wolfpack defense was too much for the recently hot Falcons offense to handle. This was also the 5th game in eight days for the Falcons.
Loyola led by seven at the half, but a quick start to the second half put the Falcons away for good.
The 63 points scored ties a season-low for FC. It ended a four-game streak of scoring 90-plus as well.
FC was led in scoring by Stefan Nakic-Vojnovic with 14 points and 9 rebounds. Matt Simpson tallied 13 points and 7 boards. Milz Tatum and Andrew Voss both chipped in 10 to round out the double digit scorers.
Florida College had 22 turnovers for the game and shot just above 41% from the foul line. Both of those figures are much worse than their season averages.
The Falcons hardly get a break, heading to Georgia to take on #3 Dalton State College on Thursday night. The Roadrunners are in second place in the SSAC with a record of 12-2 in conference. DSC won the first matchup in Temple Terrace by 10, although FC led much of the game.
