TEMPLE TERRACE, Fla. - The Florida College Falcons (10-7, 4-5 SSAC) held on to defeat the Middle Georgia State University Knights (9-5, 4-5 SSAC) 79-74 on Thursday night in Conn Gymnasium.

MGSU would not go down without a fight. They regained the lead with 1:55 left in the game on a shot made by Tyrone Young. They would only hold the lead for six seconds, as a Matt Simpson layup would give FC back the lead for good.
The game was tied twice. FC's largest lead was 13. MGSU's largest lead was 3.
"Good bounce back win for our ball club," stated Pat Todd. "Middle Georgia is not an easy team to play. Coach Moe does a really good job. They have beaten some of the best teams in our league already. I'm proud of our players for getting it done tonight although it wasn't always pretty."
FC returns to the hardwood on Saturday. They'll host Faulkner University (Ala.) at 4 PM (ET). Faulkner is also 4-5 in the SSAC. FC is currently in a 5-way tie for 6th place in the SSAC. The top 10 teams make the SSAC tournament after the regular season. There are 12 teams in the league.
