Falcons Defeat Welch College Flames
TEMPLE TERRACE, Fla. - The Florida College Falcons defeated the Welch College Flames 101-78 on Monday night.
This was the third meeting between the programs in the last two seasons, with FC winning all three games. The Falcons were led in scoring by Stefan Nakic-Vojnovic with a near triple-double of 23 points, 8 rebounds, and 7 assists. Zach Brock had a strong game, pouring in 14 points and adding 5 dimes. Kerwiken Morpas had a double-double, scoring 14 points to go along with 10 rebounds. Andrew Voss joined in on the double-doubles, grabbing 12 boards to go along with 13 points. Jordan Grayson rounded out the double-digit scorers, scoring 13 points (an FC career-high) and snagging 5 boards.
The Falcons did not shoot it well from three-point range this game (27.6%). Luckily the 50% from the field and +21 advantage on free throw attempts made up for it in this one. The 62 rebounds were 3 short of tying the season-high. The 25 FC turnovers were a season-high.
The Falcons (9-5, 3-3 SSAC) hit the road on Thursday to take on Dalton State (Ga.) University (8-6, 3-3 SSAC). That will be a 7:30 PM (ET) tipoff.
