Falcons Bounce Back, Blowout Trinity College
TEMPLE TERRACE, Fla. - The Florida College Falcons defeated the Trinity College Tigers 111-44 on Thursday night.
The win comes on the heels of a heartbreaking loss on Tuesday night at the buzzer. "I was really proud of our guys tonight; responding the way they did," said head coach Pat Todd. "They came out and played hard, executed better, and really played for each other. Any time you see that it's special to watch. It's a lot of fun"
The Falcons were led in scoring by Brad Allen (career-high) and Kerwiken Morpas, who each had 14 points. Allen also snagged a career-high 9 rebounds, falling one short of a double-double.
Kent Hegarty had 12 points and also fell one rebound shy of a double-double.
Freshman Matt Simpson had 12 points on the night and senior Zach Brock added 11.
Every player played in the game and every player scored. Bryce Nickels missed the contest due to illness.
The Falcons had a season-high 32 assists in the game. They only had 12 turnovers. The 14 made three's was a season-high as well.
The win puts the Falcons at (3-2).
FC gets a week until their next contest. The Trinity Baptist College Eagles come down from Jacksonville to take on the Falcons in Temple Terrace on Thursday, November 15 at 5 PM (ET).
