Falcons Use Powerful First Half to Blowout Bobcats
The Florida College Falcons defeated the Georgia Northwestern Technical College Bobcats 94-62 on Saturday afternoon in Rossville, Georgia. The Falcons scored a season-high and school record 72 points in the first half. This included going (17-23) from beyond the arc in the half! Jacob Roark was a blistering (8-8) from three in the first half! He would finish with 24 points and lead the Falcons in scoring. Kerwiken Morpas had 18 points and 13 rebounds, collecting his second career double-double in as many games. Fellow centers Jordan Benjamin and Bryce Nickels continue to miss games due to injury. Austin Mills tallied 12 points and five assists for FC. Theo Desrivieres had a career-high in points (6) and rebounds (7) in the game. Scott Sollazzo had a career-high of 9 points in the game.
The Falcons took their foot off the gas pedal in the second half and only scored 22 points, fifty less than the first half. They shot an abysmal (3-19) from three in the second stanza. The win gives the Falcons a 19-5 record on the year and winners of three straight. The Falcons will get some much-needed rest before Friday's Homecoming game against Trinity College! The Falcons defeated Trinity 107-66 in the first meeting of the season on November 7th.
