Falcons Bounce Back Against Trinity Baptist
The Florida College Falcons defeated the Trinity Baptist Eagles 88-74 on Tuesday night in Conn Gymnasium. FC was led in scoring by sophomore Kent Hegarty, who poured in 16 points and snagged eight rebounds. Jacob Roark added 14 points. Kerwiken Morpas tallied 12 points in his first career start. Franck Tsoungui put up 10 points and nine rebounds, while Jahkeal Samuel also scored 10.
This contest was much closer than the first meeting in November between these two teams. FC only led by eight at the half (38-30). The Falcons struggled to pull away in the second half as well. The Falcons outrebounded the Eagles 48-29 on the night. Turnovers plagued the Falcons otherwise efficient offense all night. FC committed 25 turnovers against the Eagles man to man defense. The Falcons were short-handed due to some injuries and illnesses. The win puts FC at 17-5. The Falcons will travel to Knoxville, TN to take on Crown College on Thursday before heading to Georgia on Saturday to take on Georgia Northwest Technical College.
