Saif Alsafeer was a four-year starter and captain of the Falcons (’09-’12) and played semi-professionally with the Tampa Bay Marauders football club.

Alsafeer is now entering his third year as head coach at Florida College. Under Alsafeer, the Falcons obtained a record of 13W-5L in the 2015-2016 season which is a program best. Additionally, in the 15-16 season, the Falcons set two other new records with a home record of 8W-1L and a 10-game winning streak, besting their previous record of a seven-game winning streak set last year. All this culminated in a final-four finish at the USCAA National Championship Tournament in the 15-16 season. Alsafeer anticipates an even stronger year in the 2016-2017 season. Alsafeer is assisted by David Castillo, Josiah Jones and Jonathan Smith.

David Castillo has served as an assistant men’s soccer coach at Florida College. During that period, he has helped lead our men’s program to a 26-6 record and two consecutive USCAA National Championship Tournaments. Castillo was also a four-year starter for the Falcons from 2011-2014. After graduating from Florida College, he signed a contract to play for the Tampa Bay Kickers, a semi-professional soccer club. In addition to his coaching duties, he is the supervisor of the athletic annex.
