Lady Falcons Sign Nebraska State Champion Tiffani Morgan

Florida College women’s basketball has made its latest signee in Tiffani Morgan of Walthill, Nebraska.

At 5’11’’, Tiffani will bring needed size to this season’s lady Falcons, as well as lock-down perimeter defense.

Translating high school skill to the collegiate level is an adjustment for any student athlete, but Morgan will have to adjust to more than just collegiate athletics.

“It’s so big here,” she said, referring to the Tampa Bay area. “Our town had only one stoplight, and we usually didn’t even have to stop at it.”

Tiffani’s high school held about 100 students in a town of 2,000 — she was one of 29 graduates. But what Pender High lacked in population, it made up for in basketball prowess, as they won the 2013 state championship. During that playoff run, Tiffani anchored the Lady Pendragons’ defense, using her combination of size and agility to guard their opponent’s top scorer.

“The coaching staff at Florida College is very excited to have signed Tiffani,” said Coach Jones of her latest recruit. “She comes to us from a highly competitive program, and her outstanding character makes her a perfect fit at Florida College. We believe she has the athletic ability and determination to help us take our program to the next level.”

We congratulate Tiffani on her signing, and welcome her to Florida College.
