The Piedmont International University Bruins defeated the Florida College Falcons 90-85 on Saturday evening.

The Falcons took the lead at the 18:43 mark of the first half on a three-pointer by Franck Tsoungui. They would hold on to that lead until the 9:32 mark of the second half. PI's Troy Mix Jr. made a layup to give the Bruins a 62-61 lead. Zach Brock answered right back with a three of his own to regain the lead. The two teams went back and forth for the next three or four minutes. Timely three's by Piedmont and unfortunate turnovers by FC ultimately led to the Falcons defeat.

FC had six players reach double-figures in scoring. Austin Mills, Jacob Roark, and Zach Brock all had 14 points to lead the Falcons. Jordan Benjamin and Franck Tsoungui registered 12 points each. Kent Hegarty chipped in 10 points for the game after dealing with foul trouble in the first half. The Bruins out-shot the Falcons 73 to 59. "It's hard to win games when the opponent gets 14 more shot attempts than you," said assistant coach Chase Teichmann. "I think going forward, with how many guys we have that can score the ball, it will be hard for teams to defend us. We will work to correct the defensive errors and come out prepared versus Trinity."

The Falcons remain at home on Tuesday, November 7 when they take on Trinity College at 7:30 P.M.
