The Falcons hosted the Crowley's Ridge (Ark.) Pioneers for their home opener in 2017. It was a late tip, but well worth the wait due to high scoring, fast-paced basketball.

The Falcons defeated the Pioneers 102-84. Jordan Benjamin led the team in scoring with 20 points. He shot a scorching 8/9 from the field. Four of those eight field goals were dunks. Jacob Roark had 18 points and six assists. Austin Mills picked up another double-double, pouring in 11 points and adding ten assists. Kent Hegarty dropped in 10 points and nine rebounds. Darwin Morales continued his strong play off the bench, contributing 15 big points for FC.

The Pioneers were led in scoring by Hunter Turner, who punished the Falcons with 23 points. He was a tough matchup all night. Zach Brock hit back to back three's to close out the first half. The Falcons led at half 62-43.

The second half was a back and forth affair. The Pioneers wouldn't go away, but similar to last weekend's win over UB, the Falcons hit shots when it mattered. CRC never cut the lead below ten.

The Falcons move to 2-1 and return to the hardwood Saturday evening at 6 PM to face off against Piedmont International (N.C.). Piedmont defeated Trinity College Friday night in Conn Gymnasium.
